Editor-in-Chief Deng Xiangzheng is a Second-Class Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), a Distinguished Researcher of CAS, and a Distinguished Professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, a Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education, a Leading Talent in Scientific and Technological Innovation of the National "Ten-Thousand Talents Program", and a selected member of the National Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talents Project. He has presided over more than 40 projects and topics, including the National Key Research and Development Program, the Major Research Plan of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Science and Technology Support Program, the National 973 Program, and the National Public Welfare Industry Scientific Research Special Project. He has successively obtained doctoral degrees in Science and Environmental Economics from home and abroad, and is mainly engaged in research on resource management and policy, global change and regional development and management. He has published more than 300 papers, which have been cited more than 10,000 times at home and abroad, and has been repeatedly selected as a Highly Cited Researcher in the world. His main academic part-time positions include Member of the Global Scientific Steering Committee of the Urban Knowledge-Action Network (Urban KAN) of the Future Earth Program, Member of the Science, Technology and Policy Coordination Committee of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), etc. He also serves as Director of the Professional Committee of Development Geography of the Geographical Society of China. Meanwhile, he holds positions such as Associate Editor, Editor, and Editorial Board Member of more than 10 journals including Resources, Conservation & Recycling.
