Professor Dong Xufeng is appointed as the editor-in-chief of Progress in Chinese Materials Sciences (2708-6801). Dong Xufeng is the doctor of engineering, professor, and doctoral supervisor. He is currently the director of functional materials at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Dalian University of Technology. The main research fields include smart materials, composite materials, biomedical materials, energy materials, etc. In recent years, he has hosted and participated in more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial-level projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key R&D Program. He has published more than 100 academic papers in domestic and foreign academic journals (more than 80 in SCI), and published 1 English book. He has authorized 8 national invention patents, and served as the project evaluation expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Hong Kong RGC.
