Liang Haihua is currently a professor at the School of Medicine of Southern University of Science and Technology, a recipient of the National Natural Science Outstanding Youth Fund, and a young scholar of the "Chang Jiang Scholars Program" of the Ministry of Education. He mainly engaged in the research of microbial functional genomics, pathogenicity and drug resistance mechanisms of pathogens, and intercellular signaling. In particular, the sequence research progress has been made in the pathogenesis of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and more than 50 papers have been published in international authoritative journals, including: PNAS, EMBO J, PLoS Biol, JACS, eLife, Cell Rep, PLoS Pathog, and Nucleic Acids Res (4 papers). He was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youqing, Surface (3 projects), and the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Talent Promotion Program. He also acts as the following roles: the member of the Professional Committee of Medical Microbiology and Immunology of the Chinese Society for Microbiology, the member of the Youth Committee of Microbiology and Immunology of the Chinese Medical Association, Executive Director of the Shaanxi Provincial Society of Microbiology, Deputy Director of the Anti-infective Drug Pharmacology Professional Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial Pharmacological Society, Deputy Director of the Laboratory Medicine Professional Committee of the Education Association and editorial board member of Hereditas(Beijing).
