Professor Li Zhonghu is appointed as the editor-in-chief of Frontiers of Chinese Botany (2708-6941). Li Zhonghu is a professor and doctoral tutor of the School of Life Sciences of Northwestern University, a young scholar of Qinling ecological environment protection, a member of the Shaanxi Provincial Expert Committee of the Fourth National Survey of Chinese Medicine Resources, a member of the Qinling Ecological Environmental Protection "Young Scholars" Expert Committee of Shaanxi Province, and a member of the Shaanxi Provincial Medicinal Plant Professional Committee and a director of the Botanical Society of Shaanxi Province. He is also the Communications reviewer of the Department of Life Science and Department of Geography of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, editorial board member of Plant Diversity, Scientific Reports, and Journal of Biology, member of the Chinese Botanical Society, member of the Chinese Ecological Society, member of the Botanical Society of American. He has published more than 30 SCI academic papers, among which the first author's paper published in the international top evolutionary biology journal Evolution is the second domestic paper published in this journal in article form. In recent years, he has presided over and completed more than 20 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program. As the main completer, he has won the first prize of natural science in higher education institutions of the Ministry of Education, the second prize of outstanding papers in natural science of Shaanxi Province, and the first "Practical Teaching Expert" award of Northwestern University. He has won a number of awards such as the "First Outstanding Young Academic Backbone" project support plan of Northwestern University, and Northwestern University's excellent master's thesis instructor, and has published two academic books/textbooks.
