  Professor Yang Shengqi is appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of Bulletin of Chinese Civil Engineering

Professor Yang Shengqi is appointed as the editor-in-chief of Bulletin of Chinese Civil Engineering (2708-6925). Yang Shengqi is the doctor of geotechnical engineering, professor, doctoral supervisor, Jiangsu Province Outstanding Youth Fund Recipient, Ministry of Education New Century Excellent Talent, Jiangsu Province Six Talent PeaksTalent, Jiangsu Province 333 High-level Talents, and Jiangsu Province Qinglan Project Outstanding Young Backbone Teacher. He was selected in the 2019 and 2020 Elsevier China Highly Cited Scholars List and the 2020 Top 2% Global Top Scientists List. He is currently the Deputy Dean of the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering, China University of Mining and Technology, and serves as 8 SCI and EI indexed journal editorial boards such as Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geomechanics and Geophysics for Geo-energy and Geo-Resources, Geomatics, Natural Hazards & Risk, and Journal of Engineering Science, concurrently serves as director of the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, member of the Testing Committee of the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, director of the Underground Engineering Branch, director of the Youth Working Committee, member of the Soft Rock Engineering Committee, and standing director of Jiangsu Society of Geomechanics and Engineering. His main research fields are deep rock mechanics and underground engineering. He has presided over more than 10 important scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China (4 projects), the backbone of the National 973 Project, and the Outstanding Youth Project of Jiangsu Province. He has published more than 200 academic papers in important academic journals such as SCI and EI at home and abroad, of which 33 had impact factors greater than 6.0, and 5 SCI papers were selected as ESI highly cited papers. H-Index was 45, and SCI papers were cited by others nearly 4,000 times. He published 2 monographs in Chinese and English, and was awarded 2 first prizes of natural science from the Ministry of Education, 4 second prizes of Provincial Science and Technology Progress. He also authorized 6 international invention patents from the United States, Australia, Canada, etc., and 21 Chinese invention patents. He has conducted academic visits in well-known universities such as Ecole Polytechnique in France (postdoctoral fellow), Monash University in Australia (Endeavour visiting researcher of the Australian government), Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and Imperial College in the United Kingdom.
