Professor Liu Yang is appointed as the editor-in-chief of SFP's journal Frontiers of Chinese Pure Mathematics (2708-6569). Liu Yang is a doctor of science, a professor of Inner Mongolia University, a doctoral tutor, and a director of the Computational Mathematics Branch of the Chinese Mathematical Society, a member of the Simulation Algorithm Professional Committee of the Chinese Simulation Society, and a director of the Inner Mongolia Mathematical Society. The main research field is the numerical solution of differential equations, including finite element method, discontinuous Galerkin method, and finite difference method. He has presided over a number of projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Inner Mongolia, and the key scientific research projects of colleges and universities in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. He has published many academic papers in journals such as J. Comput. Phys., J. Sci. Comput., Int. J. Heat Mass Transfer, Appl. Math. Lett., Appl. Numer. Math., among which more than 40 papers have been indexed by SCI articles. He has published 2 monographs in a national-level publishing house, won the Natural Science Award of the Autonomous Region, and was selected as a young innovative and entrepreneurial talent in the "Grassland Talents" project.
