Professor Wang Wei is appointed as the editor-in-chief of SFP’s Chinese Physics Review (ISSN: 2708-7638).Wang Wei is professor and doctoral supervisor of School of Physics and Technology, Wuhan University. He graduated from the Department of Astronomy, Nanjing University in 2000, and obtained his master's degree from the National Astronomical Observatories, CAS in 2003, and his doctor’s degree from the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics and Technical University of Munich, Germany in 2007. He returned to work at the National Astronomical Observatories, CAS as an associate researcher and researcher in 2007. He was dispatched to Wuhan University to develop the astronomy discipline. During this period, he visited the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics, the University of Hong Kong and Monash University, Australia for cooperative researches. He is mainly engaged in high-energy astrophysics researches, including black holes and neutron stars, X-ray binaries, pulsars, magnetic stars, supernova relics and nuclear astrophysics. He carried out multi-band observation researches on dense celestial bodies, published more than 80 academic papers, and obtained the support of excellent youth project and key project of National Natural Science Foundation of China and key research and development program of Ministry of Science and Technology.
