Professor Han Baoguo is appointed as the editor-in-chief of Engineering Materials and Structures (2790-4210). Han Baoguo, Ph.D., professor, is a doctoral supervisor. In 1999/2001/2005, he obtained a bachelor's/master's/doctorate degree in engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, respectively. From 2005 to 2012, he taught in the School of Civil Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology, and since 2012, he has taught in the School of Civil Engineering, Dalian University of Technology. From 2008 to 2011, he was invited to the University of Minnesota for visiting research. He is mainly engaged in teaching and research work in smart materials and structures, (super) high performance/multifunctional concrete materials and structures, nano/fiber composite cement-based materials, structural health monitoring and traffic detection. He has written 3 English monographs (Springer and Elsevier), edited and co-edited nearly 20 books. He has published more than 100 papers in important journals in the field, and has been authorized nearly 20 invention patents, and won 1 first prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education (rank 3). He has been invited as a reviewer for nearly 30 academic part-time jobs and more than 120 books/journals (winning global peer review awards). He was successfully selected into the Ministry of Education's New Century Talent Program and Elsevier China's Highly Cited Scholar.
