Professor Bai Zhihui is appointed as the chief editor of SFP's journal Progress in Chinese Eco-Environment Protection (2708-6844). Bai Zhihui is a doctor in environmental science, a researcher/professor, and a doctoral supervisor. He is currently a professor of the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, a professor at the College of Resources and Environment, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a professor of Xiongan Institute of Innovation. His main research fields are environmental biotechnology, ecosystem and soil carbon sink, and molecular ecology of environmental microorganisms. He has presided over more than 30 important scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key R&D Program of China, Regional Key Project of STS Initiative, CAS, and projects developed in cooperation with enterprises. He has published over 300 academic papers in important academic journals at home and abroad, and authorized over 50 invention patents, many of which have been industrialized. He has participated in collaborative research at University of South Australia, Australia (2005-2006).
