Professor Hu Zhijia is appointed as the editor-in-chief of the SFP’s journal Progress in Chinese Natural Sciences (2708-7662). Hu Zhijia is a professor of Anhui University, a doctoral supervisor, a European Union "Marie Curie" scholar, a winner of the President's Excellence Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a winner of the Jin Guofan Young Scholar Scholarship. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Anhui University in 2009 and his Doctor of Science degree from University of Science and Technology of China in 2014. From 2014 to 2020 and from 2017 to 2019, he worked at Hefei University of Technology and AIPT at Aston University in the United Kingdom. He mainly engaged in disordered photonics and polymer optical fiber research. He has published more than 50 SCI articles, including 1 article as the first author/corresponding author in the famous journals of optics and physics, 1 article in Phys. Rev. Lett., 1 article in Nature sub-journal, 4 articles in Opt. Lett., 2 articles in Photonics Res. And 4articles in Opt. Express. He has presided over 10 international, national and provincial-level projects, including 1 EU "EU Marie Curie Scholars" fund and 2 Natural Science Foundation of China. He has applied for 10 invention patents, of which 2 have been authorized. He is a reviewer for several international journals (Optics Letters, Optics Express, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Nanoscale, Applied Physics Letters, IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, etc.) and is also a member of OSA.
