Professor Huang Qi is appointed as the editor-in-chief of the SFP's journal Chinese Smart Grid Research (2708-6852). Huang Qi is a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of Chengdu University of Technology. The main research directions are power system wide-area measurement and control, large power grid analysis and control, smart energy information support technology, smart grid measurement and testing, etc. He has undertaken more than 20 national and provincial-level projects such as the National Key R&D Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and won 1 first prize of the Chinese Society of Instrumentation, 1 second prize of the Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award, and 1 second prize of outstanding scientific and technological achievements of the Ministry of Education. He has published more than 200 academic papers, including more than 100 SCI papers and 2 Wiley-IEEE monographs. He has applied for more than 100 patents, and has been authorized more than 50 national invention patents and 1 US patent. He is the IET Fellow, and senior member of IEEE, who was selected into the New Century Excellent Talents Support Program of the Ministry of Education, academic and technical leader of Sichuan Province, and head of the Sichuan Youth Science and Technology Innovation Team. He was also the member of the Ministry of Science and Technology's 13th Five-Year Plan for Energy Science and Technology Innovation Planning Expert Group, Leader of Sichuan Province's 14th Five-Year Plan for Energy and Chemical Industry, Convenor of Sichuan Province's 13th Five-Year Plan for New Energy, Sichuan Province's "5+1" Modern Industrial System Leader of the "Clean Energy" expert group in China. He was served as the chairman of many high-level international conferences such as 2019 IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technology.
